Our LR2021 Prototypes Have Arrived!

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our first-generation prototypes built around the cutting-edge LR2021 LoRa Chipset, a major advancement in our Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities.
This represents a significant leap forward in delivering robust, high-performance, and truly global connectivity solutions for our partners and customers.

The LR2021 Chipset: Multi-Mode, Multi-Regional Power
The LR2021 brings foundational technology that unlocks new possibilities for long-range, low-power IoT applications worldwide. Our new prototypes fully exploit the versatility of this chipset, supporting a comprehensive suite of communication modes:

LoRa & LoRaWAN - The industry standard for low-power, wide-area networking (LPWAN), perfect for sensors, tracking, and remote monitoring where battery life and long range communications are essential.

FLRC - A high-speed, long-range mode that offers major speed improvements over LoRa. Large data transfers from edge devices can be performed much faster on this mode.

Band Flexibility - The LR2021 operates in sub-GHz bands including 868MHz and 915MHz, as well as in the worldwide 2.4GHz global ISM Band. This lets us provide worldwide compatibility for higher data rate LoRa applications and overcome regional sub-GHz constraints. Devices can be configured for deployment almost anywhere on the globe, providing a single hardware platform for diverse regional markets.
The arrival of these prototypes marks the beginning of a rigorous testing phase. We will be meticulously evaluating their multi-band performance in real-world environments, focusing on battery life, signal integrity across the sub-GHz and 2.4GHz bands, and data throughput/range testing of the high-speed FLRC mode.
We are excited to be working at the forefront of LPWAN technology and looking at how we can combine the LR2021 with Sabre’s sensor technology, edge AI and full lifetime support capabilities, to deliver powerful, intelligent solutions at a lower energy cost.
